Odoo Accounting

Great software with aweful support. There is no live support. You need to create a ticket and wait for 2 to 10 days for an answer! Usually there will be a few back and forth until the ticket is resolved. So sometimes it takes a month for an issue to be resolved. Assume you have all you backend and the frontend (your website) on Odoo. Then you cant do business for a few days up to a few weeks!! unbelievable!!

I already started the Odoo process but then after a few issues decided to check in with Trustpilot. Now I can with confidence move on and avoid the VO-odoo trap others fell into. Two things that kills the progress of online business is the Hosting company' lack of customer service and lack of credibility. A good name is better than riches, but fools are blinded by dollars and diamond.

The overall application is not too bad, despite the limitations of its user interface.
The worst and most worrying thing is the customer support, they do not take into account that many companies work 24x7 365 days a year. If your business works from Monday to Friday and only 8 hours per day, you would have no problems, but if you are out of that schedule I do not recommend this ERP.
Even for critical failures, caused by the inexperience of their own specialists are not resolved in a timely manner. In short, their customer service is infamous.

Honestly. I have been trying many different ERP systems.
Economics, Quickbooks, many many different versions of Microsofts Navision/Business Central etc.
Of all of them, Odoo seems the least thought through. Then our accountant convinced me to go for Odoo. Big mistake!
Let me give you an example:
If you create an invoice for a storable product, there is no way to let it automatically remove the items from inventory, or just click a button "create delivery note" and remove it. Nono - you would need to first enter the inventory module, then make a delivery note which will be sent to accounting module where you then make the invoice. Ridiculous, and it increases the chances of errors. Same goes for purchase orders, you first need to enter these in purchase module. It seems there is little "connection" between these modules, and you constantly need to hop between the different modules. Why not make it all under one module?! Even if you need to pay extra, surely (like all others) you can just lock/remove the features until client pays.
No thank you. I wish we hadnt wasted our time with Odoo and gone with something else. But now we are already "stuck" with it and moving will be a lot of work.
This software needs a lot of changes. Sure, it has a lot of functions and you might be able to get used to them. But I dont like anything where I can make a lot of purchase orders and invoices for storable products, where at NO POINT is it asking me or telling me that I need to also make separate inventory movements. Chances of errors are just too big..
Sure, quickbooks dont have the same features and MS Business Centra is a completely different pricing. But Odoo is still not a good solution, in my opinion. I wish we had just paid for something better, like MS Business Central.

Odoo has two problems :
1/ some basic features are missing in every single one of their modules, making them cheap but never really functional. In particular, this time, I'm experiencing the fact that the e-commerce module is unable to validate VAT numbers, therefore any customer can set a random number and enjoy a 0% VAT on all our shop.
2/ Their customer service is the worst I've experienced on a SaaS product. Their answer (after 3 exchanges and 27 days) : "this is a limitation of the software, I cannot do anything". This is their answer 80% of the time.
Honestly, unless your business is so simple it can run on excel, this ERP is plain and simple useless.
